Kia ora, were Steve and Faye (Ngāti Awa, Ngā Puhi, Ngai Tūhoe) Molen.
We have 4 adult children (Cyprus, Eric, Grace and Tipene) and 2 mokopuna (grandchildren: Harleigh-Rose and Harlow). We are Officers (Ministers) in the Salvation Army and are apprentices with UNOH while living in Randwick Park (Manurewa, South Auckland).
Our ‘claim to fame’ is many years of youth work, planting 614 Salvation Army Youth Services Wellington, 4 years of ministry in Tokoroa and 6 years of church planting in Manurewa.
We’re at a stage in our life where we ‘know our why.’
We know who we are in Christ and love Jesus.
We thrive on creating new initiatives.
We hate doing the same thing over and over just because ‘this is what we’ve always done.’
We enjoy the challenge of planting a Corps (Church) in the Great South of Auckland.
We’re secure enough to wear socks with jandals when we go to the shopping mall and read romantic Christian novels (well Steve is).
We love this new season of life, where we can explore incarnational neighbouring, and be on the journey of authentic relationships and covenanted lifestyle.
In the neighbourhood, we run a Food Co-op which offers cheaper food options, enjoy hanging out with our neighbours, help with Soufpac Kids Club, volunteer in a Kura Kaupapa Māori (Māori Total Immersion School), pray, live and laugh with our awesome UNOH team.
We are constantly in awe of how the Holy Spirit moves in, out, around and about our neighbourhood.
